Webquest

Introduction: 

This Webquest is an excellent way to consolidate the material. Use your imagination and given resources to do necessary work.

Task: 

You are to divide into the groups of four. Each group should represent one particular World Heritage site using texts, video and virtual tour information. You will have 5 minutes to present the prepared material.

Process: 

Each group is supposed to:

1. Describe given heritage site
2. Demonstrate it with the help of presentation
3. Explain, why this place is worth visiting
4. Make a quiz for other groups to check their knowledge

Each group chooses a particular Heritage site:

• Historic Centre of Florence

• Memphis and its Necropolis – the Pyramid Fields from Giza to Dahshur

• Mont-Saint-Michel and its Bay

• Town of Bamberg

• Burgos Cathedral

Evaluation:

• 5 (excellent) - All tasks are done. Active participation of each member of group. The theme is fully disclosed. The work is original and interesting to listen. The work doesn't have mistakes.
• 4 (good) - All tasks are done. Active participation of almost all members. The theme is fully disclosed. The work has small mistakes.
• 3 (average) - Some tasks are not done. Lack of participation. The work has serious mistakes and imperfections.
• 2 (poor) - No participation. More than half of work is not done.

Conclusion: 

After this work students have learned more about UNESCO and its World Heritage sites. They have worked in a team and gained skills in sorting out necessary information.
